Archives are information: definition, principles, and relation

The differences often take place between archives or records and information. As we easily assume, information is more attractive than archives. It is hard to imagine without archives what turns out to be information. That is why we need to have complete paradigm regarding archives since its creation until they are being publicly accessed. In short, archives are information but not all information is considered archives. The two main archival principles (provenance and original order) are crucial for information retrieval. In essence, archives are shaped by their content and medium. In the long run, archival systems or records system is about providing continuing access towards its information and maintaining the medium readability through time.
